Log entry: RELEASED TO: "Diesels day out. - GC1CNKH". Out with bubblegummers (my brother & his wife) on day 1 of 7 of our Eastern Oregon trip to get Oregon County and DeLorme page caches. Today's trip started from the Fish Lake Resort (between Medford and Klamath Falls) ending up in Diamond, OR (342.5 total miles, 4.4 of that on foot). This was #2 of 11 found today. Coordinates and hint were good. Quick and easy. Thought we would be FTF on this, but someone else had found it (signed the log anyway) but had/has not yet logged it online as of 7/6/08. Cache is in good shape. Elevation 4849 feet. Weather about 75 degrees. Sunny, calm.

Log entry: Retrived from "Bridge over Troubled Water - GC13Z3W" Out by myself for some early Saturday morning caching. Only one walker muggle on the path. Nice cache placement. Took a few minutes because I had to go back to the car to get a tool my wife had given me for retrieval and replacement. I'm sure it could be done without one, but the tool made it easier (and safer). If the creek had troubled water (too full) I would have been forced to take the more risky approach. Coordinates and hint were good. Original log moldy, almost pulp. Replacement log damp, I added a log baggy. Elevation 1 foot (will be underwater when all of the ice caps melt due to global warming). Weather 54 degrees. Overcast and calm.
